Anyone else slim but with a belly?

So I've had 2 kids which has obviously had an impact. I'm a size 10 but my belly has a serious habit of looking alright when I'm stood up, but but I sit down suddenly my clothes are too tight and cut round my waist.
I can't go up a size or they won't fit me.

Anyone else like this? Fit your clothes until you sit down!?

I have that body type where my belly is the first part to put weight, then my face and upper arms.
If you cut down on wheat it might help? Do you eat a lot of wheat/gluten?

Or just cutting carbs in general I find makes my belly feel flatter and less bloated.

I don't do them anymore but doing sit ups? I need to get back into the habit of that!

But if you say you look good standing up then it's normal to have a couple rolls when seated. Even if you're low or normal weight.

I always try to suck my belly in and hold my shoulders back as much as possible when I'm in company standing up. But it's hard now as I've got terrible osteoporosis!

Thanks for the insight! I heard that sit ups will not just target belly fat and will only contribute to overall weight loss?

I feel like my level of belly fat when I sit down is much more than normal because how can clothes suddenly become so incredibly tight when I sit down yet almost loose when stood up. It seems out of proportion.

Are you sure it’s not from having been pregnant? My belly never went back to being completely flat because the excess skin is still there.

I asked my doctor once and she said everything moves around when you have a baby and that women have to deal with very unrealistic expectations about our bodies going back to what it was before. It’s apparently nigh on impossible without surgery.

There is a reason why elasticated waist trousers have become a middle-aged clichè! I am the same. I hate having tight trousers round the waist but it is hard to find trousers that dont do this when you sit down. I agree it is probably a post-pregnancy thing.

I haven't been able to wear fitted waistbands without a lot of stretch for many years.
