Experiences of blissel gel

Hello

I'm a sufferer from vaginal atrophy also with vulval symptoms (dryness, irritation etc). I tried Ovestin and the other lower strength estriol cream for external and internal but found them too irritating. I think I must have been reacting to another ingredient.

I now have Intrarosa for internal which is working well but outside is lagging.

As I can't tolerate the creams I was wondering about Blissel gel because the formulation is different in that it is water based gel.

Anyone got any experience of using it, particularly on outside bits.

Thanks!

I was prescribed Blissel gel after a very painful smear test which lead to a diagnosis of vaginal atrophy. I was experiencing soreness inside and out so was very happy to try it. I used it every day for 3 weeks and now use it twice a week. It’s a little syringe thing that holds about 1 cm of the gel.

I have been hugely pleased with it. After 3 weeks I was able to have my smear test and now have no episodes of any the soreness. It seems to have worked really well for me. I’ve also noticed a huge improvement in the mild cystitis symptoms that I used to get regularly. The only downside is that the day after using it, it dribbles out a bit so I have to use a thin pad but it’s really not a problem compared to how well I feel. It doesn’t enter the blood stream apparently, just works on the tissue it touches.

Its quite thin, being a gel rather than a cream, but can be used externally, which I sometimes do, and don’t have any soreness now.
