Abnormal results

A pelvic ultrasound and internal ultrasound has shown as abnormal and I've been asked to see the GP tomorrow. I had the scan 2 days ago. I'm so scared. I went because my period hasn't returned after having my baby 5 months ago.
Today I feel like I have my period with no bleeding.
I'm so worried they will tell me something worrying.
I've been googling for hours.

Oh gosh OP - is this cervical? I have no idea what to say but I hope you get a good result tomorrow.

It could be an issue with the lining of your womb due to the pregnancy, possibly. I know it's worrying but try not overthink too much until your see your GP. Good luck x

Thanks. I had a Csection in October. Small period end of November and nothing since. Today I feel like I'm having a period with no blood. My boobs haven't hurt for a very long time, that symptom isn't there.
I'm so worried it's serious.
I can't bear the worry.
I think I'll be sent for further tests.
I'm so scared. I'll know more tomorrow.

Thanks. I am the worst over thinker. I read quotes about over thinking being more dangerous sometimes. I need to be that person who is positive.

Its likely to be the womb lining being too thick. Most probably because of a hormonal imbalance.
Try not to worry so much.

BlumminFreezin · 24/02/2025 21:35

It could be something entirely unrelated to your period op.

A dermoid cyst larger than 5cm...they'd have to discuss that with you and follow up.

What exactly have they said? I've had lots of ultrasounds, both internal and external and ime the results are not described as 'normal' or 'abnormal'. It's not like there's just one yes or no question, they'll be checking everything they can see.

Offredismysister · 24/02/2025 21:37

Is there any chance of any retained products? Fragments of placenta or membranes left behind could be the issue & is easily resolved.

They didn't say anything, just told me the duty Dr asked for me to have an appointment booked. I am so scared. The NHS app says 'abnormal' and that's it. I suppose I'll find out soon... Pray for me.

I'm on the 2wk pathway for a biopsy on my cervix. They are checking for cervical cancer 😔

This must be so frightening and a lot to handle with a new baby, too. Saying a prayer for you.

rosequartz3 · 27/02/2025 21:00

Hi. Had my appointment with a gynecologist and he's referred me for an MRI. He isn't too worried which is keeping me positive. Thanks for asking.

Wishing you all the best.

did they say what the MRI is checking for? They should be able to tell you.

keep positive and it’s great he didn’t seem too worried
