Just looking to see if anyone has any experience of this and how things turned out.
I've had the mirena coil for 4 years. The insertion was horrendous, took three attempts and made me pass out due to pain. I've always had extremely heavy and painful periods, and have ended up in a&e or gynae ward due to how bad the pain has been. This is why I got the coil.
Long story short, it's been discovered that the coil has perforated my womb and part of it is right the way through and out the other side, almost touching my bladder.
I'm getting urgent surgery to have the coil removed but it will need to be done laprascopically and there is concern about damage to my bladder.
If anyone has any experience of this happening, I would be keen to hear your stories.
