How easy is this to have done? I think it's the only way I can go through with one nowadays.

I don’t understand why you are so worried that the person replying may not be female? Even if they’re male you can certainly ask for a female to do the procedure. I’m not sure what the point of even sharing the email is to be honest. You’ve asked the hospital, they’ve said it’s possible so you have your answer 🤷🏼‍♀️

I would assume she is the go to person for transgender people who were born female and still have a cervix and need smears.

More and more of us need to be asking. They're never going to listen to women-can you imagine if men had to have these procedures done, how much more research would've been put into it and how much more pleasant they would make things? Ask OP. I've had a smear under G.A. My ex partner had laser cell removal under GA.
