Possible prolapse?

I have some vaginal irritation and light bleeding after using a canesten pessary and cream. Never happened before and was a bit concerned so I had a look down there with a mirror and was surprised to see a bulge inside my vagina. I seems to be coming from the front, so my bladder. I've been having issues with urinary retention and some difficultly weeing lately so this would explain some things. What can I do and should I go to the gp? I'm already waiting on a gynae referral :/

It would be an idea to see your GP whilst you are waiting for the referral and ask to have your suspected prolapse confirmed. Also you don't mention your age but if you are near peri menopause then estriol cream may well help with your urinary symptoms so it's worth discussing that with your GP.

Thanks, I'm 40. I'm definitely making an appointment. I've had problems for ages and had several internal exams, the latest one only a couple of months ago and they said no prolapse. I've had bad lower back issues recently, numbness and lots of pelvic pain, which I think has exacerbated things. And now the canesten thing has made me raw. It's all gone wrong at once it seems.

I have a lump of tissue that hangs down at the front, like my front vaginal wall has dropped down. I asked the GP and she said totally normal after a vaginal delivery.

@DustyLee123 both my girls were c section babies 8 and 13 years ago. It seems to have appeared/worsened since having lower back issues that have affected my ability to go to the loo unfortunately.
