My daughter is 2.5 years old now and a few weeks ago I was admitted to hospital with a severe infection / pain in my abdomen. It turns out that I have a 'niche' in my c section scar, inside my uterus. Fluid gets trapped in it and this is what became infected... The scar never healed properly.
Since my periods came back after having my second child, I've had cramping and bleeding in-between periods - I've been back and forth to the GP but they never found anything until this hospital admission.
They sent me home with lots of antibiotics but when I got home, started panicking that this 'Niche' is still there and they've not done anything to prevent my constant bleeding / pain and I now feel like I'm high risk of infection again!
My GP has referred me back to gynecology, so I'm waiting for a follow up appointment.
I'm just wondering if anyone's ever been through this before and knew what to push for at the hospital to get this rectified?
