More and more close together periods

I just turned 40 and I know i have fibroids. I have never had regular periods usually i got my period every 35 days even less. In the past 2 years my periods are coming closer and closer together. Now averaging every 30 days. I know this is normal but not normal for me. Today I got my period 28 days a new record for me. Can this be peri or the fibroids? As I said I know this is absolutely normal but for me it's so unusual ... I just wondered if someone had similar as I don't think a doctor will take my regular periods seriously 🤣

I think you need to explain when you see your dr that this is unusual for you. I had a single, very large fibroid and prior to it being diagnosed, my periods were getting closer - a 14 day gap at the worst and lots of flooding. What treatment have you been offered for the diagnosed fibroids?

I have been offered no treatment as I have no symptoms apart from more frequent periods.
