Another breast lump

I had a lump in October last year, was referred and it was a cyst. I had a mammogram and ultrasound, all good.

Last week I saw a small lump on my left side (last time was right) when putting my bra on. It’s small, moves slightly and moves up/down with the tissue when I raise and lower my arm. When lying down it seems to sit between my ribs.

I know I need to call the GP but don’t want to waste their time, the mammogram showed dense tissue, I am 42 so likely perimenopause is throwing hormones into the mix.

I guess I just hoped someone might have some experience similar, I know in all likelihood it’s another cyst and nothing to worry about but getting it out of my head it helpful too.

You aren’t wasting their time, go and get it seen.

When it comes to lumps and bumps in our breasts we can’t be too careful, it doesn’t matter if it’s on the opposite one or feels different to before, it’s still important to get checked out.

You need to get it checked out. It’s never a waste of time getting a gp appt for a lump.

Thank you, it’s one of those times I know it’s the right thing to do but equally dread doing. I’ll contact them first thing on Monday
