Spotting - peri or something else??

Am 40 and keep having spotting in between periods.

Had a hysteroscopy last year which was normal so I was discharged by gynaecologist who essentially said it's just one of those things and I should forget about it.

But it's soo annoying. I'm also getting some pain particularly mid cycle.

Do you think this is possibly peri menopause? Any other ideas? I'm wondering if I should get a second opinion

Mid cycle pain could be ovulation pain, or from your cervix moving up and down.

I’m the same. I’m 38 and have always been a ‘spotter’ but it’s really ramped up lately and I’m so worried. Also incredibly stressed by life events, so hoping it’s that. I have a doctors appointment in a couple of weeks

Yeah definitely get some ovulation pain although that's also really ramped up.

I thinking it's probably just the hormones going a bit weird but also worried and it's so annoying not know when I ll need pads etc
