That sounds like a difficult situation if they can't do the normal pulling it gently out by the strings. The camera is so they pull it at the right angle and don't accidentally hurt you isn't it? Can you ask your GP if they can give you something to help you be relaxed and stay calm for the procedure so you can have it out?

Mine was removed under general anaesthetic. Can you ask if that's a possibility?

I got mine removed by my GP horrible things made me spot continuously and also made my cervix inflamed. Doctors need to stop pushing this device as an answer to all bleeding problems. Some women love them but some have horrible side effects from this coil. There is a law suite against Bayer in the USA because some women have been damaged by this coil and had to have surgery to get it removed. Just to add not all women have side effects and one of my friends is on her third

What are you worries with the camera? It seems like a good idea so they can see where it is and remove it for you?

I went to the GP this week as have also lost the strings. They basically seemed to try to get it out by casting around blindly with a pointy implement. No pain relief and unsuccessful. Left sore and bleeding. Can’t believe this is healthcare for women in 2025.

Have been referred to hospital. Have googled and am hoping for ultrasound guided removal. This makes sense to me so they can see where it is and get it out.

I would also be interested in any home remedies or self help if there is any other way to deal with this.

I hope that you can talk to your GP and they will help and reassure you xx

That’s y I went private to get a scan and to see a private gynaecologist see if she could remove it I have spoke to my gp and thy wanted to refer me to normal hospital I ask how long and he said it months long waiting list so I gave him the name of the private gynaecologist I seen and he said I should here from them next week as it’s been send
urgent I new it be better to take a few steps for GP to get scan and see private doctor as if I was going wait weeks for scan then wait for results long time

Hope you get your euphoric moment soon op. Hope you get someone who is skilled and don’t back down. Have you tried a sexual health clinic (as sometimes they have the scans to see, they just flapped in my case as I couldn’t hide I had the thing in by general anaesthetic and so I was put of trying to go private thinking I’d lose the money if still failed)

Took three attempts and demonstrating the road trip to back the PALS complaint at the original hospital that treated the infection not long after getting the coil inserted. Best day last year was seeing that coil finally out and going into clinical waste and much to my shock I was awake.

It’s worrying me as it might go somewhere I will need a operation to find it
