Period over 2 weeks late

Hi all. As the title says, my period (normally regular) is over 2 weeks late. My cycles normally last 25-28 days but I'm currently on day 41 with no signs! I don't think I'm particularly stressed but I did have a horrible sickness bug about 2 weeks ago.

To be fair I haven't taken a pregnancy test yet but I don't have any symptoms (aside from missed period of course), and I also have the copper coil so it's incredibly unlikely, right?

Could the bug I had two weeks ago cause a missed/late period?

Mine was 2 weeks late after I had covid last year. Definitely take a test to rule it out though!

I would take a test to be sure.

I wouldn’t have thought your period would be delayed due to the bug unless you were unwell when you ovulated. Maybe you even skipped ovulation this month or it’s just due to having the coil in.
