OK so this all started on Saturday and today Thursday it finally burst!
I've done baths and baths with tea tree oil. But for anyone looking for signs it will burst, last night and this morning was crippling with severe stinging happening in it. But the itch also hit. So I'm hoping the itch may be a tell that rupture is coming!!
Went to the loo and wiped and it was thick yellow and I released then it had burst.
If anyone ever reads this I'm so sorry you're going through it. 5 days seems to be the average time

Hi,
I have one of these. Doesn't hurt at the moment but I know it's there. Any advice?

Do you think baths with salt water help?

Look at Sporner Corner subject area on this forum - many threads on Bartholin Cysts. A lot of audience participation and encouragement but a lot of useful tips inthe various posts. You will get traffic and replies there. Sympathies to you.

Mine burst 3 weeks ago. It first appeared in October. It's still not fully healed and keeps weeping a little every day. Luckily I've not needed antibiotics so far. I just hope it doesn't return.

Flannel wet with hot water, keep on reapplying. Mine reduced and went rather than popped. Good luck!

Ah thanks. I was worried heat would make it worse or irritate. Good to know it helps it reabsorb

I have had them on and off for years. Mine never pop, no matter how big they get, they just very slowly reduce.
I hate the itch the most, more so than the stinging pain.
