I found a lump on my breast 4 months ago, it was examined at the breast clinic with scan, mammography and biopsy, concluding it was a benign fibroadenoma. However, I went back to the clinic on 21st January because it was growing, they confirmed with a scan that it is bigger than in the previous scan and, due to my age (I'm 43) they decided it is better to have it removed. I am waiting for a phone call to tell me when I have to go for the surgery. If someone has been in the same situation, how long did it take to receive the phone call? Also, was it local or general anaesthesia (I forgot to ask)?
