Just passed this one week post medical abortion, panicking? (Sensitive photo attached)

I had a medical abortion at home a week ago, I thought I had passed everything that night, I was only 4 weeks so wasn’t expecting anything recognisable but had heavy bleeding which is still ongoing but significantly less.

Ive just passed these, no pain and they definitely aren’t blood clots, they are like tissue one is quite large, didn’t expect to see that. Do I need to panic? Is this the pregnancy? Is something wrong?

I'm not a medical expert but at 4 weeks there would be barely anything of a pregnancy to pass. It's most likely the lining of the womb which would have thickened as a result of the pregnancy.

It must be alarming and, if you need to, contact your GP, but personally I wouldn't be concerned, no.

I have only had an early surgical abortion before the tablets were available and I had a very heavy period afterwards.

All fine now, recovered quickly and went on to have healthy pregnancies later on.

I've also passed a desidual cast in the past, could be that.

Yes I wasn’t expecting to see more than blood considering how early I was, I can’t have been more than 5 weeks. I’m estimating around 4. Thank you, I’ll keep an eye on it. It really freaked me out!
