Itchy anus whilst on period

So it's been like this for a few months now. Every month I'm convinced I've got worms but def no evidence of that.
I've been diagnosed with endometriosis The other day on This Morning there was a health feature about endometriosis and the doctor said that it can affect other nerves including bowels. I always get an upset stomach with my period so all this makes sense.
Does anyone else have this ?

Two thoughts relating to your upset stomach are either that you've got some stomach acid coming through with your poo, and that's irritating the tissue there. Frequent wiping can also irritate so consider using a squeezy bidet bottle to clean with water and then pat dry without wiping.

Or - and I didn't realise this till recently - one symptom of internal piles is an itchy anus. Stay on top of your water and fibre intake, don't strain, and don't sit on the loo too long scrolling Mumsnet or they could get worse, and then you'll feel like you're shitting glass Sad

Hope you feel better soon Flowers. I would think it's less likely to be worms unless one of your kids has brought them back from school, in which case you won't be the only one in the house with an itchy bum!

Oh and the final link on the piles is that being on your period can cause constipation, as hormonal changes slow down your digestive system.

Well period has finished and itching has gone so shows it's definitely related.

Allergy to sanitary towels? Always are terrible for making you itch .
