Lump on nipple (pictures included)

Hi all,

I’m currently 7 months pregnant and since about 8 weeks pregnant I’ve had a lump on the end of my nipple. This is my third pregnancy and I’ve not had this in my last two.

I went to the GP back in November and she thinks it’s due to ‘hormones’ and is nothing to be worried about.

it’s not painful, and there’s no discharge or any other symptoms, just this small lump.

I’m worried about it affecting my ability to breastfeed.

Has anyone else experienced this, or has any advice as to what they think it is?

Maybe a milk bleb? Early for it to have appeared at 7 weeks though, I would ask to have an ultrasound to be super careful. X

@scaredysquiggle - did they remain after baby was born, and did it affect milk flow at all? X

@violetcuriosity - thanks, the nurse did mention a milk bleb, but I had one of those in my first pregnancy and it hurt! This doesn’t hurt at all! I think I will get another appointment and ask for further investigation as it seems strange to have stuck around for so long! X
