Itching after sex, tmi sorry

Hi all I am 44, been with my partner for 15 years, over the last year or so I itch after he cums down below, its driving me mad! Its like outside and in if that makes sense!
Never had this before but within about 5 mins of finishing i'm scratching like mad to the point where i have to dive in the shower, We've been STI tested all clear, been doctors clear of urine infections thrush etc, no change in body wash etc, no idea what to do, its making me not want to have sex or if we do only in the morning so i can shower straight after instead of in the middle of the night!

Possibly you're starting to suffer from dryness and the act itself results in irritation because of this.

I suspect vaginal atrophy. Can be a problem as hormones decline. Maybe speak to doctor about trying vaginal estrogen.

Sorry i should have said I have been through the menopause at 32 and do not suffer with any symptoms, i've never suffered with dryness, hubby always says i'm wetter than a waterfall!

To be perfectly blunt (sorry), you can be sufficiently lubricated but the quality and durability of it may not be the same as when you were younger. Or if you have vaginal atrophy, as another poster mentioned, you can feel irritated anyway. Guess how I know... You may benefit from a local cream your doctor can provide.

Thanks doctors said there was no issues and to get the sti tests which we did, its almost instant the itching as soon as he pulls out im scratching and then running to the shower as thats the only thing that stops it

It is possible to be allergic to your dh but it sounds a lot like atrophy. Many doctors are hopeless with that and, in my experience, don't bother to even tell you it's happened.

Thanks i.ll pop another e consult thing to them, I did ask at the STI clinic and they had no clue as i said its only been the last year or a little less, i'm fine if he doesnt cum inside like on my body its just down there!
