Hi

just wondering if anyone has experienced this

I am 35 so don't think this is perimenopause , I also have diagnosed PCOS but I track my periods and they are usually between 33-40 days I haven't had a cycle over 40 days for a very long time ( checked my app)

i was due on last week and instead of my period I got a brown discharge that I usually get at the end of my period which only lasted a day or two .. at first I thought it was the start of my period but it never came

A week later I am now on CD 42 and no sign of my period and have not gone this long without one in over a year

there is no way I could be pregnant haven't had sex in months and had a full period since the last time

I have been extremely stressed the last month and just started therapy not sure if this has contributed to it .. I have health anxiety and this is worrying me quiet a lot

anyone experienced this but it wasn't pregnancy or peri related ??

thanks

Stress can wreak absolute havoc with your menstrual cycle.

I also have health anxiety, and it's so hard isn't it?

I find it's helpful to make a plan and have a safety net. So in your position, I would say to myself ok, I will wait for the time my next period is due. Any more weird spotting or if that period doesn't turn up... book in with the GP.

@MyProudHare I'm hoping it is just stress as I've had an awful month

sorry to hear you also have health anxiety yes it's awful! I'm back in therapy for it at the moment as that's actually what was brought on this latest period of stress.

thank you that's a good idea! Hopefully next month it is back to normal
