For years now I’ve had problems ovary cramping when going toilet and lately I’ve been getting pains when peeing too my periods are very heavy sorry if tmi and lately I’ve been having really bad localised low back pain the past few weeks and I finished my period 3 days ago and today I emptied my bladder and ever since I’ve had the most unbearable ovary cramps like period cramps but much worse and my back is hurting with it it’s radiating to my back
I’ve had an ultrasound they ruled out cyst but this over a year ago and im seeing gyno in 2 weeks for suspected endometriosis but im wondering do I need to go see a doctor sooner and if anybody else had similar pains and what it was it’s a stabbing pain and it’s really bad

Bumping for you.

I get ovarian cysts most months with my cycle and they burst at ovulation. I'm not sure I'd describe as stabbing pain, but very tender and then maybe a slicing pain when it bursts.

Are you taking painkillers?

I'm not sure that a GP could help in the meantime apart from pain relief, as you are already referred and under Gynae with an appointment soon.

It does sound very distressing and painful. I hope you get a diagnosis and relief soon.

Sounds like endo.

Sounds like endo.

I might leave it til I see the gynaecologist then I guess if that is the case it’s getting ‘worse’
my doctor thinks I have endometriosis which was why the referral in the first place
my pain was just so bad this morning I panicked a little as it’s never been that bad

Thankyou for responding
I did have cyst ruled out before on a ultrasound but was over a year ago and they also said bowel covered my right ovary and today that’s where the pain was mostly

Yeah I am taking painkillers they help sometimes but today not so much the pain comes on strongly when I finish peeing and then fades over time just never experienced anything like that but the low back pains been constant for the past 2 weeks
I guess instead of seeing the doctors I’ll do a sample just to rule out if it’s a UTI but other then that I will wait for my appointment next week

To be honest it doesn’t sound like ovulation pain , I suffer from them quite badly to the point where I’m unable to sit down due to pressure in my lower abdomen. I don’t take pain killers but I use hot water bottle as hot as i can directly on the skin, it does the trick in couple of hours of continuous heat

Sorry I’ve misread it as ovulation pain not ovarian pain

Endometriosis is certainly a possible cause here for all these symptoms. It’s usually diagnosed through a keyhole surgery op called a laparoscopy.

I would suggest you keep a daily pain and symptom diary particularly if you do not already do this . This will also give the gynaecologist clues.

I would point out that if you experience a lot of pain and feel sick then don't rule out taking yourself to A&E and you can get twisted ovaries or a twisted cycst which can be quite serious.

I had a lot of pain from a cycst a few years ago and they did warm me not to ignore it if it got really painful.

They would just do a ultra sound to check, but just because you had no cycsts last time you where scanned doesn't exclude the possibility.

I have endo and Adenomyosis.

All started with right sided pain one period that I thought was appendicitis. Periods had been getting heavier and more painful ( like someone sticking hand in my tummy and swishing everything about) , I got bloat and then one week urgency to wee all the time. No pain weeing though

Went to local walk in... they said I had UTI, gave me antibiotics. Pain never fully went away. Another 3 lots of antibiotics later and next period, I ended up taking myself to a&e and they said it's gynae issue and will message docs to do scan.

The wait was three weeks and already messing with my head and life. I got private scan and saw he adeno and endo. Funny enough the nhs one I did end up going to to see what they would say... said thickens lining of womb.... we will do it again in 6-8 weeks. No endo , no adeno! Meh. Lost it with nhs booked private gynae and had MRI scan before she suggested laparoscopy. They found I had adhesions of uterus to bowel, ovary to womb and various patches all caused by Edno! Oh and a chocolate cyst on each ovary. Stage 4 endometriosis.

So glad you're seeing specialist next week and see what they say for you.! You need more tests do not put up with this s**t.

Sending love .

Keep us posted what gynae says x
