Please help, I'm scared

Hi all.
I'm in a bit of a state. Last few cycles I've had a tiny bit of spotting (light brown/light pink) around ovulation.
This month it seems to be more. I'm nearly 41 and not on any birthday control. It feels like my period is trying to start despite it only finishing 11 days ago (I think I've just finished ovulating).
I've got a GP call tomorrow night but I'm terrified.

Yep , premenopausal, been going through it for a a year now , had all bloods, hormone levels , ultrasound ( external/internal) nothing wrong , period fairly heavy and very irregular, ovulation time a bit of spotting. GP said there’s medication available but I’ve been on the pill a very long time ( stopped for three years) so not keen to go on something else now ,so I’ll just ride it out, I’m same age as you. Another symptom for me is insomnia 😢

I'm doing OK thank you. Seems I've had a bit of a weird monthly. Period arrived today (after some more spotting) 5 days early and I've had really sore boobs this time too! My cycles have usually been 28/29 days but this one has been 23/24 days. Still within normal range but I guess some changes will have to happen eventually.
Saw GP yesterday who advised me to keep a diary of peri symptoms (I've been getting sweaty neck and feet at night, brain fog, joint pain, mood swings etc too). She has also prescribed sertraline.
I explained about my PMS symptoms now being more like PMDD to the point where the anxiety is crippling.

Oh that sounds like peri menopause I’m afraid

15 years later I’m still getting the anxiety especially at night & when I’ve had a couple of drinks

I'm sorry you're still suffering. May I ask how old you are now? Period pains seem to be getting worse with age too which is super 🙄

I’m 60 in a few weeks
think it all started when I was around 40. Periods stopped around 50 but can’t remember exactly.

Ive had exactly the same experience , spotting during ovulation for the first time . I previously been to the GP for pain in my lower stomach right side , GP said likey to be ovary pain , had blood tests , scans all normal, but now spotting which is new . I’m 43, perhaps peri also ? Will check with GP again .
