Hello all,
I had a bit of burny wee yesterday but flushed it out with cranberry juice and water and today i´ve had it just a tiny bit again and the cranberry juice seems to really work.
Has anyone else just managed the symptoms if they are only slight, by drinking it out with loads of water and cranberry juice?
I´m going on holiday on Thursday and the chances of seeing a doctor within the next 2 days are slim.

I'd hold off on the cranberry juice tbh - and if you really must drink it then make sure it's sugar free. I don't think it's any more effective than water though

So I'd flush it out with plenty of water, maybe a couple of ibuprofen for any slight inflammation and perhaps a teaspoon of bicarb in the water to make your wee less acidic

And then see how you go. I don't suffer too much these days but because it used to be so awful, i always keep a short course of antibiotics in a drawer - but im not suggesting you go that far Grin

Hope you feel better soon

I'd get some anti biotics from boots just in case rather than risk going on holiday and it getting really bad
I've never been able to flush it out no matter how hard I've tried
Sometimes I think I have and then even up to a week later it comes back with a vengeance

Have you tried the sachets? I find they usually do the trick for me, but as you're going on holiday I agree with PP about getting some antibiotics as well just in case it gets really bad while you're away. You can get them from online pharmacies without seeing a GP and with lots eg Boots you can then pick them up in person almost immediately.
