Ovarian cyst

I have a 27mm ovarian cyst and have an appointment with a doctor in a couple weeks to discuss my scan results (which I have 2 days ago)

I'm 33 and just after some advice I suppose. What's your experiences and can you give me any advice. I'm a little scared but not overly as I'm fairly young.

Thanks in advance

Lots of ovarian cysts resolve themselves ,some just need monitoring and some removing. All depends what sort it is. I've just had one removed as I'm post menopausal and it was dermoid one, was done by keyhole surgery.

I had a 10cm simple cyst on my ovary that was discovered at my 12 week scan with dd1. It didn’t resolve itself so I had it removed through a laparotomy surgery 10 months after dd was born. It was a little more invasive than keyhole but I had no major issues and healed well and no further problems. They managed to save my ovary.

I had a dermoid cyst removed from my right ovary about 4 years ago. It showed up on a pregnancy scan and they took it out at the same time as my c sec. I currently have another one which they are monitoring. They are very common and can be removed easily, depending on the complexity. How was yours discovered? Lots of women don't even know they have them until they have a scan. Mine was about 35cm when it was first noticed which i thought was large but my dr referred to it as a medium cyst... i suppose they see very large ones all the time.

I have one that is a simple cyst.
It was discovered when I had bloating bleeding and I went to the GP as my DM had stage 4 ovarian cancer.
I'm 58 post menopause and being rescanned because of my age.
They hope it will resolve it's self.
I'm prepared to have it removed if they see anything getting bigger because of my family history.

My doctor referred me for a scan cause of how painful my periods are and had an internal scan that revealed it. X
