Hi everyone,

Has anyone experienced this? I've been on citalopram for 15 years. Now that I'm entering peri menopause I'm finding that anxiety is heightened and I'm getting really anxious about things. I've been through a lot lately, I had a pregnancy scare (age 44) which we suspected was ectopic and I've had a constant upset stomach which I think may be stress. Not sure what to do.

Yes I've had this exact thing. Citalopram stopped working in my early 40s now 47. Used to work amazingly and now doesn't at all. I'm thinking of switching to another one, maybe escitalopram I'm not sure. I have tried sertraline in recent years but it made me feel worse if anything, not sure what would have happened if I'd tried it earlier in life. I've also had upset stomach.
Please update if you try anything else or find another solution.
