Collagen plus Perfectil

I've recently started taking both collagen and perfectil for skin, hair and nails. Almost out of perfectil and thinking that I probably don't need both? From a cost PoV I could do with just taking the collagen.

Will collagen suffice? I'm taking Willpowders Bovine collagen peptides.

Any advice/thoughts welcome!

Bovine would put me off as I’m old enough to remember mad cow disease

I'm old enough too but seeing the results on my sister has sold me! I think I won't bother rebuying the perfectil. Particularly as I'm buying a pricey turmeric and curcumin too!

What results did your sister get? And what is the name of this miracle collagen product please

I am also interested in your sisters experience with collagen, thinking of trying it too

The benefit for my sister is visible skin improvements. She's always used decent creams and make up but I saw her recently for the first time in a few months and she looked like she's had a facial procedure. Her skin texture was lovely, youthful. She's 56.

I'm hoping for the joint pain benefits mostly, but improved skin would be a bonus.

We're using Willpowders and I'm about to start taking the MCT oil too.

Hi. Just ordered this. How much do you take a day? Is it 5mg once or twice a day. TIA.

pizzicato · 08/02/2025 14:42

2nd day of Willpowders here.I've taken 5g twice a day and have the most excrutiating abdominal cramps. Like being in labour ! Anybody else experienced this and if so does it ease if you cut back or did you discontinue? I'm not lactose intolerant as far as I know.

I take 15ml in my morning coffee. I also take a spoon of MCT oil and a small slug of kombucha. By the next morning I am heading straight to the bathroom. No pains though
