I’ve made a mistake

I recently signed up for online coaching to lose weight and I feel like I’ve made a big mistake. The plan is fine, I can follow the exercises. However it has sent my anxiety through the roof and it’s now affecting just about everything. The thought of messing up and having someone monitoring me 24/7 is too much. It’s gotten to the point where I can’t sleep, I wake up crying and I have to take time out of work because of the exhaustion! To mention, I also have ASD so my feelings always feel 100x worse. ASD is also making the meal plan hard, the amount food and textures etc is making me miserable.

i have signed up for 3 months (min contract) and I am happy to part ways with the £500 spent. But I have so much anxiety about telling her I don’t want to continue with it anymore, especially considering it has only been a few days!

The thought of doing it any longer is too much to even think about. I’m happy with the plan, I just want to part ways with the coach…

any advice?

Some of my friends are online coaches so I would say approach yours and tell them how you feel. You will be able to have a more hands off approach if you ask them.

You are paying for this so you call the shots. Tell the coach what you want from them. Sometimes people need a coach so they have someone to be accountable to but if you were hoping for something else (maybe positivity, encouragement 'you can do this' messages?) then let them know. I hope you can make this work for you.

I agree with the previous posters.
