Any sonographers on here?

I've been having nausea and stomach issues on and off for a few weeks now. I had a scan yesterday to rule out ovarian cysts. They did an external then internal exam. All was well.

Today I got a faint positive on a pregnancy test which I'm trying to understand. However this was followed by a negative an a separate test so I'm super confused. Im still getting stomach aches and nausea and my boobs are sore but wouldn't a pregnancy have shown up on the scan? They look loads of images of my ovaries, endometrium, and womb and nothing to note.

Yes it could be super early. I don't remember the date of my last period. But I think the beginning of December.

Is there anything I can look out for on the images which would give me a clue as to what is happening? Endometrium size etc?

I'm not a sonographer but they'd need HCG to be well established (typically, 1,500+ bhcg) to see even the tiniest spec on the scan.

IF the lining was shown to be thick it could be a pregnancy but it could also be normal build up before a cycle.

Was the pregnancy test dark? A reputable brand? I'd monitor the situation, just in case. Repeat the pregnancy test in 48 hours.
