Bleeding 4 days after period ended

I finished my period 4 days ago and got some reason I've started bleeding again (bright red blood) Has anyone had anything similar? I'm quite worried about it. Thanks.

Have you ovulated early at all? I’m 41 and for the first time ever ever in my life I had red spotting on day 15 of my cycle which they said could be harmless mid cycle spotting. This was followed by hardly any period. I’ve seen so so many women have bleeding lately it is all odd.

I don't think I have. I'm nearly 37 so I am wondering if it's a sign of premenopause? If it carries on I'll seek advice from th GP.

I had this one cycle out of the blue, having never had it in all the years of periods. I'm 39. I rang GP and they checked smears up to date, which they were, and said probs just a one off and they wouldn't do any investigations unless it happened in 3 cycles. It hasn't happened since. Hope same for you!

Just to add, I suggested peri to my GP (female) and she said it would be classed as ovarian failure at 39, too early for peri apparently!

Thanks for your post. Hopefully it is a one off. How strange of your GP to say that. It says on the NHS website it can be earlier than 40. 39 is hardly way off that is it 😂.

I know!! Everything I read says 39 is prime time for start of peri!
