HPV after smear

I've tested positive for the last 3 years for HPV. Every time I've had a smear I've had to have a Colposcopy after the positive result. Last year at my Colposcopy they said they could see it was going but still present.

I've just had my results from my smear and HPV has been detected again but this time I don't have to go for a Colposcopy I'm just required to ago for a repeat smear in a year.

Could it be that there were no cell changes this time and the level of HPV isn't that high anymore? I'm a bit confused as to why this time I'm not needed to go for a Colposcopy.

Hi I had 2 HPV positives in a row without colposcopy but was stressing about a 3rd positive & read lots of positive stuff online about AHCC supplements. I decided to give them a try and after 8 months my 3rd smear was negative.

They are expensive but I thought they’d be worth it. I got the ones from Time Health & took 2 a day ( you can take up to 6). I truly believe they boosted my immune system too.

Thankyou I may give those supplements a try. I'm hoping the fact I don't need a Colposcopy this year is because there are no cell changes now and just HPV present. It's worth a shot if it clears up the HPV

Did you not get a letter to tell you about cell changes or not? I would presume no cell changes were found at your smear as well, they can reverse, mine have

Your letter should tell you whether there were cell changes or not.

Last year I had hpv with no cell changes and just needed a follow up smear this year that showed the hpv had cleared.

I have no cell changes this year, hopefully my next smear will mean the HPV has gone.
