Could this be endometriosis?

Can any ladies who have endometriosis give me your opinion on these symptoms?

I've had lower back pain over the last few months which is progressively becoming more frequent. Normally very manageable, but the last few months I've had severe lower back pain to the extent I cannot get out of bed, dress myself etc without assistance and a lot of pain. I've noticed it is only like this when I'm on my period.

Currently I'm on day 4 of my period and still very limited mobility. Saw the GP who dismissed the connection to my period and gave codeine which helps but I still can not function with the back pain. I asked to be put on the mini pill as I noticed it was worse with a period and thought if I could eliminate the period it might help, but he refused. I'm not on any other birth control so not sure why he would refuse even if he didn't think it would improve my symptoms?

The pain is now all around my pelvis and going down my thighs. I have what I would say is a normal amount of cramping for periods - not excessive. Then yesterday and this morning I passed a small amount of blood rectally, even though I didn't actually poo. I'm also urinating frequently today.

My periods vary between 24-28 days, can be very heavy on the first two days but don't last particularly long. I also go up a dress size during my period and feel like I like deflate after my period because I bloat so much. I also get diarrhoea on my period, but this is a long standing thing since I first started my period.

I'm 36, had a little boy 4 years ago. We tried for a year for a second last year, but when it didn't happen we called it a day, but as we were happy with one we didn't proactively seek help to find out way. Chances for conceiving were also really low because I have hidradenitis suppurative which limited chances to actually do the deed.

Do you think it could be endometriosis?

Doesn't sound like it is.

Have you been investigated for spondyloarthritis? There is a link with hidradenitis suppurative:

Inflammatory bowel conditions such as Crohns and ulcerative colitis are types of spondyloarthritis. It could be that your hormones are acting as a trigger for flare-ups of an existing undiagnosed condition. Definitely worth going back to the GP, especially about the bleeding. Hope you get some answers and feel better.
