Colposcopy result help

Hello

Recently had a colposcopy and have had a letter saying "findings are small pale ATW changes on upper lip. Biopsy taken"

When I had my colposcopy the nurse said that all looked fine. She couldn't see any cell changes. I had an ectropion and that a biopsy was a matter of course for this to check everything was ok.

Letter suggests different? Does anyone know what small pale ATW changes means?

It sounds like they are talking about the look of your labia?

Was it a punch biopsy of your cervix?
I have had colposcopy appointments where they haven’t taken a biopsy as they didn’t feel the need to so I don’t think they are done unless necessary.

Hi @RubyRedBow Thanks for replying. Definitely cervix not labia. It was all internal. She did say if I had an ectropian, which I do, they would do a punch biopsy before treating it just to make sure there wasn't an underlying cause. But when I was in there she said she couldn't see any cell changes so the letter was quite a suprise!
