Little red/brown bits coming outbof my vagina

Sorry if this is to much information. I'm 44 possibly perimenopausal. I'm also on the Mini pill. But the last couple of months I have experienced a slight itchy feeling inside my vagina. And bleeding on and of. But 3 or 4 times whilst in the bath thousand of these little red/brown bits have come out of me and its freaking me out ! . Maybe I should add that about 9 months ago I did have a internal scan because I was spotting all the time and all was okay. Is this a sign of menopause? Sorry about the typo on the subject I couldn't seem to edit it

@grimmeeper Hi, I'm still waiting for an appointment with the gynecologist. It's actually happening more frequently now.

I've just realised I haven't updated you. Gynecologist refused to see me. I was tested for infections etc all negative. I was put on HRT and that seems to have stopped it. It has been months since this has happened.
