Low mood cycle day 7

Just wondering if anyone else has this. I'm 35 not on any contraception. I'm used to mood swings around ovulation and PMS week but now last 6 cycles or so I'm getting such an emotional low on the last day of my period, usually day 7. It's frustrating as I thought the first half of the cycle was supposed to be the easier/happier half. Cycles have also shortened to 24/5 days from 28 so probably just I'm in early stages of peri but it's annoying!

And now the worst irritability on day 8 like actual RAGE with my DH and kids. Same pattern the last few cycles. So I basically have a week of my period, a week of this post period misery, a week of ovulation (headaches, nausea, cramps, mood swings) and then classic PMS. Constant hormonal rollercoaster, feeling fed up

I have the coil now but I used to have a day or two at the end of my period with PMS symptoms! Especially bad headaches. I always assumed it was a last surge of hormones but I never looked into it.

Thanks you're probably right about a surge of hormones. I just find it frustrating as the hormonal mood swings feel never ending all month! Thanks for the solidarity. Glad you're having less of it on the coil

maybe check your sugar intake with the hormones, I find if I have lots of sugar/carbs and my hormones are already fluctuating, it can knock everything sideways and I’m all over the place emotionally, physically

might not be the same for you, but something to consider
