“Crunchy” lower spine after delivery on back

I gave birth 7 1/2 years ago. I was induced and was on a monitor and drip, so ended up having a (very fast 3rd stage) delivery on my back. I remember my spine feeling very “stretched” the next day, and ever since it has made crunching and grinding feelings and noises.

I kept thinking it would get better or go away but it never has. What on earth would I even say to a GP? Won’t they just put it down to a common side effect of childbirth and tell me to go away? I know it is my fault for giving birth on my back, but I was so uncomfortable and in so much pain if I tried to change position that it was the easiest option at the time.
