in 1994 i had a epidural for my eldest girl. When doing it the anithatist asked me if i would give my consent to let a junior do the procedure. I said yes not thinking about the affects afterwards. I went home but i couldnt do the feeds or look after gabby like i wanted to. I was like this months after giving birth to her. Now I have curverture to the spine and have had since 2015. At first i just thought i had phyatica but now i cant walk without my crutches and i believe it wont be long before i cant walk at all. Is it possible that with the epidural not been done right could it of caused my pain and curvreture of the spine?

no. Epidurals do not cause curvature of the spine. Pregnancy and carrying small children can exacerbate back problems.

My DD has scoliosis. It usually occurs in adolescence - you probably just had a mild curve and didn’t realise. It often gets worse with pregnancy and age which is very likely what has happened to you. An epidural is not the cause.

The only reason i asked this is because when i had my youngest the epidural wasnt done right which made me bed bound for a while so is this impossible or could it maybe the cause

What investigations have you OP? MRI/CT/X-rays? If you are getting sciatica, I'd be concerned about a compression of the spine.

And no, an epidural 20yrs ago won't cause a curvature of the spine now. As others said, its far more likely you had it starting anyways. Do you mean your back is curving to the side (scoliosis) of hunching forward (kyphosis)?
