For the last 18 months or do I get this horrid, red angry rash every few months...it never used to happen. I'm overweight but I always have been so that's not new.

It's so ugly...I've no idea what it is...sorry for the gross photo.

Help! Any advice on creams / treatments to try v welcome. Thank you.

Reaction to deodorant or eczema caused by change in weather? Perhaps a fungal thing and you need antifungal/antibacterial cream?
Could be your soap you use?
Black African soap is great. Bath with oilatum, dettol or Milton. Aveeno slapped on at night time and trying to air your pits out lol

Swap to a natural deodorant since it's winter, like salt of the earth spray

I get similar. I use a natural deodorant already. For me it’s where my armpits stay wet and then get irritated by my clothing, it’s always worse with like a woolly jumper or something. I have to use a steroid cream as the itching drives me crackers. I often have issues a couple of times a week.

I didn’t used to get it with antiperspirant.

Have you put on weight? I yo-yo quite a bit and when I'm on the larger side I get a fair bit of chafing in my armpit.

Eczema?

whatisforteamum · 18/11/2024 01:09

Some washing powders and deodorant do this to me.
Very painful.

Thepossibility · 18/11/2024 01:32

I get that sometimes. I apply a baby powder with zinc in it for a few days and it's all good. The powder to keep the area dry and zinc heals the rash.

Head and shoulders shampoo Ron wash arm pits. Or Nizoral.
