My period arrived on November 10th and lasted four days- this is very normal for me. As periods go, it was pretty standard- some cramps day one, some cystic acne on my jawline that went by day three, all very standard for me.
Today is cycle day 7. I woke up this morning with some cystic spots on my jaw. Then I felt crampy in the afternoon but put it down to too much coffee. Just been to the toilet and I’m bleeding.
Bit TMI and gross here…
The blood is very dark brown/black and there are quite a number of clots.
I haven’t had sex since before my period (of November 10th) started so I don’t think it’s from injury. There’s been no change to diet/exercise/medication.
I’m 41. Generally fit and healthy and not yet peri-menopausal.
Has anyone encountered this before?
