5 days late

Hey guys. Like the title says.. I'll be 5 days late on my period today.. I'm not TTC, my husband had the snip over a year and a half ago.. I tested regardless.. 3 negative tests.. I'm usually very regular.. between 26-28 days. I know it's very common for people to be late or miss a period entirely but this has got my health anxiety absolutely through the roof and I'm googling myself into an oblivion so I was hoping some lovely people on here could help me out. ❤️

All sorts of reasons for periods to be late, such as stress and peri menopause

ItsAllFake · 16/11/2024 07:18

Every year I have a period that is late. It just happens 🤷‍♀️

Ridingthegravytrain · 16/11/2024 07:59

Me too. First time this has happened since I was last pregnant over a decade ago. Usually clockwork. I think it may be increased exercise for me. Have you recently done similar?

Well I'm 32 so Im not sure if it's perimenopause. But it could be stress

This has happened to me this month for the first ever time too. No idea why.

I'm 33 and this has happened to me before. Happened once in my 20s and then in my 30s. Spoke to GP (my dad) and he said totally normal. Unless happening a lot so over lots of cycles, just carry on as normal.

Oh well that's reassuring to know.. it's my first time I've been so late without pregnancys.. but I do feel maybe something is on the way.. had some cramps this morning.. never wanted my period so badly 😂

I was once 2 weeks late (celebate at the time) when I was early 30's and as I'd always been regular as clockwork I was a bit worried. I had taken 2 long haul flights though & apparently that can throw things out of whack I had no idea at the time. All sorts of things can mess up your cycle - travel or stress etc may have delayed ovulation which in turn delays your period. If its a one off its probably just something like that & nothing to worry about.

5 days+ late?

Yes. Well a lot of people's periods don't start on the same exact date every month.

My period this month started five days later than last month's period
