Just that really! When you started HRT what were the changes you noticed?

Not waking up bathed in sweat, sleeping better in general, more energy and I stopped feeling like i was going mad (that could've been the amazing gp)

ooooohnoooooo · 12/11/2024 19:32

I started dreaming again. Hadn't been able to sleep deep enough to get to dream state for about a year.

Absolute bliss.

Plus had energy. And my brain worked properly again. And my libido came back.

Wonderful!

izimbra · 12/11/2024 19:36

A revolutionary change in the quality of my sleep.

IBlameTheDog · 12/11/2024 19:37

Sleeping through the night.

RosesAndHellebores · 12/11/2024 19:40

Sleep and flushes improved within 48 hours. That improved my mood. It was fabulous.

Whereohwhereohwhere · 12/11/2024 19:46

Anxiety really decreased. No more red mist and the seething rage that came with it. Very definitely more balanced. It did take a bit of tweaking over the first few months.

gamerchick · 12/11/2024 19:49

My brain just cleared all of a sudden and I could think clearly again.

I also noticed the bathroom tiles were long overdue a scrub. It's mint being able to function properly again.

More patience when driving as well.

gamerchick · 12/11/2024 19:50

And decent sleep. Didn't realise sleep had sucked for so long.

barbarahunter · 12/11/2024 19:51

Hot flushes stopped and libido came back.

BadForBusiness · 12/11/2024 19:52

Slept through the night instead of waking up anxiously at 3am unable to get back to sleep.

TheLurpackYears · 12/11/2024 19:56

Within 24hrs I could feel the heat creeping back into my bones. I hadn't eve thought it was a peri thing. It took a week for it to get rid of the dizziness I went to the drs asking for hrt to get rid of and about 6 months for it to make a noticeable difference in what now know was vaginal atrophy, I'd been back and forth trying to sort out urinary issues that had been blamed on breastfeeding.
I needed testosterone to get my orgasms back. I wish my memory was better.

wastingtimeonhere · 12/11/2024 19:56

My memory has improved, but I also credit working my brain in a different way through exercise.
I still can't sleep properly, need the loo far more.
I'm less murderous, but on the flip side, I verbalise my lack of tolerance for idiots and their idiotic actions rather than people pleasing. My filter isn't as efficient as it was..😉

Brandnewskytohangyourstarsupon · 12/11/2024 19:56

Nothing really.

Symptoms have carried on.

Hot flushes are less, other than that, nothing has changed. I’m still miserable, insomnia is debilitating, memory is shocking, im getting fatter by the day and I no longer recognise myself.

I had so much hope in those patches.

LightSpeeds · 12/11/2024 19:57

My bladder issues have very significantly improved.

Vissi · 12/11/2024 19:59

Honestly, I haven’t really noticed any changes.

Go back to your GP, I was the same with the patches and I think they actually made things worse for me.

I just started on gel and tablets and an 5 days in and I just feel like me again already.

FinallyMovingHouse · 12/11/2024 20:11

Normal, for the first time in years.

hobbitum · 12/11/2024 20:17

I couldn't even lunge or squat my knees were so sore, and within 48 hours I could move again like there'd never been a problem. Also stopped wanting to kill DP. Much more serene.

orangetriangle · 12/11/2024 20:18

also didn't get on with the patches have found gel and tablets better but not sure they are working as well as they were at first it stopped the intense itching and hot flushes but feel that is increasing again what with the hot flushes and up and down to the toilet though this could be because I have fibroid I'm exhausted
