Excess fat after weight loss

I'm 51. 5' 8" and about 13stone, I've lost over two stone and gone from 18 to 14. Another 1.5 to go.

Thing is I used to be 17/18 stone 20 years ago. Lost a load of weight down to about 11.5 stone and it's been on and off since but never as high as my previous maximum.

I now look ok, for me anyway. My main issue is the belly apron thing.

Is it ever possible to exercise that away? Even when I was a lower weight it was an issue. I feel like I have to tuck it in!

Any advice would be great.

Hi, I’ve lost around five stone over the last couple of years but I too have stubborn fat in the tummy area which I hate, but however low I go I cannot get to 10 stone, I now weigh 10 stone 4 Ibs. I have found swimming helps a bit with the tummy problem, but I still have the hanging tummy problem, just a tiny bit smaller. I do length after length in back stroke and it has strengthened the tummy muscles below the blubber. So I have no advice, just commiserations. I did read somewhere that tummy fat has a particular role in the human. Ody, protecting us from potential famine.
