Hi, i had a baby around 2 years ago and heavy periods started from 3 months pp. My gp referred me to a specialist and she biopsied something down there 2 years ago (I can’t remember what it was) and it all came back clear and pretty much told me to go on the pill to fix my issue (i didn’t). I have been noticing I am spotting even longer now so I went to my gp and requested a Pap smear today. She performed it and mentioned I had a polyp that was bleeding. Now I am a nervous wreck incase there is something wrong 😭 has anyone been through this?

Hello,
I had the same thing - heavy periods due to a polyp. They took it out and I also had an ablation to thin out my uterus walls. They biopsied the polyp I think to be sure but it was all good and my periods have been better since.
I think this is quite common, don't worry.
