I'm perimenopausal and on regular HRT (oestrogel, utrogestan, vagifem and blissel gel) which seems to have sorted a lot of symptoms including vaginal atrophy.
I'd started getting thrush like (sore, itchy, but no discharge as such) systems so the doctor took a swab last week, still waiting for the results. In the meantime she said I could take OTC meds so I took Canestan fluconazale.
The symptoms went away for 24 hours but then came back. New appt with GP tomorrow.
In the meantime could I safely take another fluconozale or should I wait until tomorrow?
For reference I also have low iron which I'm now taking high dose vits for, not sure if this is causing thrush as I read they are related. Last time I had it was before taking HRT 2 years ago.
