tranexamic acid tablets - how long?

I'm over the three week mark for a heavy bleed. No idea what's going on. Doctor has given me tranexamic acid 2x tablets 3 times a day, I'm on day three now and still bleeding when do they start working typically? I'm absolutely sick

I went to A&E when bleeding was incredibly heavy and couldn't stand up without falling back down again. They gave me tranexamic acid intravenously which worked very quickly. I think I'd taken the pills at home but they hadn't helped. Perhaps call 111 and talk through your symptoms to see if that's an option?

Ah that sounds awful.

I don't think I need to call 111 yet I'm managing to continue with life I'm just frustrated
