2-3 week long periods - normal 3 years after IUD fitted??

I had a copper IUD fitted in June 2021. Since then my cycles have been all over the place, with occasional breakthrough bleeds. The past year or so I have had some periods lasting up to 3 weeks!
I knew to expect "temporary" changes, but 3+ years on it's getting a bit ridiculous...
Am I destined to live with this whilst having this IUD or could it be due to something else? Anyone have any experiences with long periods/odd cycles after getting a copper IUD?

Images attached (hopefully!):
1st one shows my regular-ish cycles to start with, before getting IUD in June 2021.
2nd & 3rd showing the last couple of years difference.

You need to see the GP, you’ll end up anaemic if you carry on bleeding.

It's not normal you need to go to the GP for a review, the IDU has potential moved, failed or doesn't suit you. You can get the exact same effect taking the mini pill, and then you have some control.

How old are you OP? Is the coil causing this or is this the start of menopause?

Nearly 40, so could possibly be start of peri. I don't seem to have any of the other specific signs like hot flushes, etc. Though I have several of the more vague symptoms that I've experienced for MUCH longer, like anxiety & depression.
Just seems weird for my cycles to have changed since getting the IUD. The fact it's ongoing makes me think it's either not suitable for me or something else might be going on.

I will be trying to get in to see GP as soon as I'm able to get an appointment (also requesting blood test as I am starting to show some signs of potential anaemia). I'm just curious as to whether it is likely to be a long-term issue with IUD & if I will have to reconsider contraceptive options.

I was bleeding almost constantly when I had an IUD! I have PCOS so didn’t attribute it to the coil, but when it was removed it stopped immediately
