Can anyone help with this pre diabetic bloods reading?

It’s gibberish to me! Under further action it says: Other, in pre-diabetic range, coded and letter sent so I guess it will be explained.

the actual breakdown is on the attachment and I don’t understand it at all. Is it saying the reading isn’t consistent with diabetes? But then is saying in the prediabetic range?

Can anyone help with this pre diabetic bloods reading?

Yes, it's in the pre-diabetic range.

If you don't have diabetes this is an opportunity to make changes to stop it from developing.as you are entering the pre-diabetic range www.diabetes.org.uk/about-diabetes/looking-after-diabetes/hba1c#:~:text=If%20you%20have%20diabetes%2C%20an,target%20level%20is%20so%20important.

If you had diabetes diagnosed and were working to control it this would be an OK range, www.nice.org.uk/guidance/ng17/ifp/chapter/having-your-blood-glucose-checked-hba1c#:~:text=The%20HbA1c%20result%20is%20given,a%20different%20target%20for%20you.

Thank you, I was just confused when it said “not consistent with DM” as I thought it meant the reading wasn’t consistent with diabetes, but it’s saying prediabetic.

im not going to lie I’m panicking about pancreatic cancer as a friend had it young and the only symptom was a change in blood glucose regulation that put her in the prediabetic, and then the diabetic range!
I’ve had some odd bowel issues recently hence the rather panicked link. I’m sure it’s unlikely!

Also appreciate nobody can diagnose here! I’ll be speaking to the doctor myself tomorrow as I have an appointment for something else but just wanted to understand the result.

Yes it’s saying you don’t have diabetes but you’re pre diabetic.
