Any advice would be greatly appreciated.. since my son started nursery we have both been sick on and off for about 5 weeks. Colds, sickness the lot. About 5 weeks ago I got ulcers all in roof of my mouth, tongue, cheeks. Diagnosed with herpes virus due to being run down. It was excruciating. I was prescribed acivlovir and took it 5 days it took the majority away and the pain stopped, however since then ulcers have just moved around my mouth and the ulcers from the outbreak have left red patches in my mouth. Most recently my lil boy got a sickness bug which I got too and the ulcer on my tongue got bigger and more painful so I went back to gp and given acivlovir again for 10 days this time. It is so painful again, I can't eat, I struggle to sleep and I've been signed off for 10 days because I'm a therapist and Im really struggling to talk. I'm ok day 2 of meds and still in quite a bit of pain. Sounds dramatic but it's been going on for like 5 weeks and the pain is really getting me down,. Also just not being able to kiss my husband or my baby cause I'm worried about passing it on.. its affecting everything. Has anyone had anything like this before? Any magic home remedies? I never even knew I had this virus in all honesty.
