Aerobic vaginitis

Hi all

After a tortuous journey with various symptoms, I think I might have aerobic vaginitis. A high amount of enterococcus faecalis was found on a swab test I had done.

It seems this is a bit of an unrecognised / understood illness. Therefore does anyone have any experience of effective treatment?

Also, can anyone recommend a good specialist? I am in Cambridgeshire but willing to travel.

Thanks in advance

Hi @Summersunx . I treated myself with fluomizin as my GP was bugger all use. It seems to have cleared up now. Got other issues but that's one crossed off the list.

Oh brill that's good news what symptoms did you have

Well it was mostly UTI like symptoms. I did feel slightly uncomfortable in the vaginal area but at first I assumed was a bit of thrush from the antibiotics. I never would have worked out the problem without the DNA sequencing test. @Summersunx how about you? I think this condition could be very under diagnosed.

Hi again. No I didn't have that symptom. I used the Digital Microbiology service. They are very good.
