Hi!
here I am asking the amazing women of the internet again because GP's are completely useless when it comes to PCOS.
my periods have been absent now for about 4 years. I have to take provera to induce one every now and again due to cancer risks etc. I just would like to know how anyone got their period back after losing it? things I have tried so far; metformin 1500mg, myo-inositol, high protein diet, losing weight. I am probably still a bit over weight, but not much different in weight from when I last had (some) periods and ovulated enough to get pregnant 7 years ago. I've been through ivf with no luck. I want to try and get it back before I give up hope and before the menopause sets in. I'm also not perimenopausal as bloods show normal hormone levels.

I heard on a podcast that PCOS may be caused or affected by insulin resistance. You mentioned high protein, was that also low carb?
One of the reasons for the Ozempic baby phenomenon is that it is treating insulin resistance which was causing infertility.

This podcasts gives a good overview if you want more info.
