Background - 37 with 3 kids PCOS periods usually every other month if not 3 months but over the last couple of years I’ve lost a couple of stone which has led to period pretty much every month. Sometimes lasting 2+ weeks though, with about 1 week extremely heavy.
Since smear in July (all clear) I’ve had spotting of some kind every day, finally went to GP at start of Sept. She put me on mini pill. Bleeding stopped for about 2 days then started again although only light spotting. But for the last 5 days I’ve been flooding again.
Told the GP this and she has now put me on the 2 week pathway for a gynae appointment. Terrified to say the least. She never mentioned cancer or even any possible causes other than saying it’s not right that I should be left bleeding so long so needed investigated.
I’m an overly anxious person at the best of times. This morning I’ve just been an emotional wreck.
Also before anyone says why didn’t she prescribe something to try and stop the bleeding, I am due to have my gallbladder removed next week therefore can not take anything like that before the op.
Looking a hand hold/talk me down or just someone who has went through it all and been ok.
