I had a knee MRI because of an ongoing knee issue (multiple diagnosis from different physios) which came back clean - no structural issues or 'wear and tear' or any tendon or fat pad issues, which is what I was anticipating. My physio is also surprised but following a strength test, was surprised how quad dominant I was and how weak my hamstrings and glutes are. Strengthening my hams and glutes and avoiding quad work is now the plan to hopefully rid me of this knee pain.
Question is, has anyone else had a similar diagnosis? I am confused about how my glutes and hamstrings are so weak when I am a gym regular. I am 18months post partum, physio suggested this may also of contributed so I plan to visit a women's health physio next week to see what else is at play.
Many thanks
